Keeping Them Safe

Teen girls 16-19 are 3.5 times more likely to be sexually assaulted than the general population. One in four women 18-24 has been or will be assaulted within her lifetime. Men and boys are twice as likely to experience acts of violence by a stranger. At home or on the street, with friends or amongst strangers, how can we keep our teens safe? Today, our teen’s safety is at risk in school, on the internet, at home and just hanging out. Hear from experts in the field on the latest trends and strategies you can use to keep your teen safe.

Staying Connected: Growing Up, Not Apart
We teach them to grow-up, but we don’t want to grow apart. How can we stay connected with our teens, while teaching maturity and responsibility? How do we reach out when they push us away? What are they really saying with their silence or screams? Listen to the voices of experts and real teens as they share their insights and stories.
